the realization

I finally understand why they so highly of Beowulf. I beleived to be nothing more than a fairy tale, but what they had predicted has come to pass. Its quite that I am okay with this fact. Even though I may never be as great a hero as Beowulf, but Beowulf was not always doing for the right reasons. It is true that the cause was true, but the reason would many people. It truely is dark. He started off being calm and trusting in fate, but when it came down to him or his opponent he chose the power of the wicked over the righteous. I pray that Beowulf can find peace where ever he is and I am glad to know that in the end my sword, hrunting, could be of some assistance no matter how small it may have been. That dragon must have pretty tough though, but Beowulf should cried out for help when he really needed it. His comrades were pitiful though all except Wiglaf who came to Beowulf's aid at his final moments on Earth. Thats why family should always stick together. They after their own and those who need help. They bring out the best in you and help reach new levels that you never knew you even had.

the story behind unferth

Beowulf judges people without the slightest idea of there history. He has no clue to why I killed my brother or anyone else. He just assumed that I did those deeds for no good reason, but if that were true than how is it possible that I of all people became one of the king's royal knights. One of the king's finest knights. As I have already said before Beowulf is naive. His judgements and self righteous loathment of other people have been assumed with out knowing there history or background. He acts so high and mighty about everything almost as if he knows everything and no one know more than him, but my childhood was much different from his I was never related to royalty not in the slightest way. Beowulf on the other hand was and because of this our were very different from one another. Thing might have been different if he was in position. The one who talks about when you have your back turned. They talk of your dark past things that no man should ever have to think about. I am simply terrified by the mere thought of there face. It was horrible having their blood on my hand. Their lifeless bodies on the ground with no pulse. I had lived with them all my life and now its all gone. They can never be brought back to life.

beginning of the fight against grendel's mom

[unferth_001.jpg]http://colinfix.blogspot.com/2007_11_01_archive.html

The day grendell's mom came to destroy the mighty kingdom that Hrothgar had worked so hard to build up was a terrible day for all of us. As much as I would hate to admit this, but after Beowulf defeated Grendell his mother came to our kingdom for one purpose to destroy us all. The one she wanted to kill the most though was Beowulf because he had slaughtered her son, but it was destined to happen. It is quite weird how all these monsters come to destroy Beowulf. One of these days he will be killed for his heroics. They maybe noble, but it's pointless. He thinks he can beat any monster without any help at all, but there some creatures in this world that can never be defeated by a single man no matter how hard they try. He does have the will to fight back even when fate it's self has turned on him, but with out the strength nor the instinct to survive against the strongest of opponents he will be killed. When that happens no one will be around that even has a chance of beating the creatures that may try to attack this kingdom in the future except of course me.

Beowulf's triumph over Grendell

http://cghub.com/images/view/2780/

It  seems that Beowulf has defeated Grendell, the monster that has plaiged us for so long. Beowulf is incourageable his methods are so dispicable. There is no point in fighting a monster with out your sword. I could have done that too, but I felt ill at the time. All it would taken me would have been one fierce blow from my arm to knock that monster to the devil's domain. A place that no mortal should have to go to. Since, Beowulf was there at the time he killed him instead, but if he wasn't there he would have to face my wrath the likes of which he has never seen before. Beowulf may think he is the best, but he is nothing more than a weasel. He had stolen my prey and my chance of fame. Their maybe some who doubt what I say today, but one day they will all see my power and know that I am a better warrior than Beowulf could ever be. I am sure that I will have my chance to prove it one day and when that glorious day comes Beowulf will have to acknowledge once and for all that I am better than him ha ha ha!

the early days

I have heard tales of a young boy named Beowulf and of how his idiotic ways almost got him killed. His journey into the cave more than proves that. Simply the thought of that vulgar name Beowulf is enough to make me feel ill and his adventures make me sick to my stomach. I would rather fight all the creatures of darkness than hear one more word of his vile quests. He is nothing more than a foolish brat who got in weigh over his head and to my surprise he made it out alive. Those who call him a great hero are nothing more pitiful, pathetic, little ingrates who can not see what is right in front. He's nothing more than a sham, a fake. I am dumb founded by their amasement at the thought of someone like Beowulf, who had slayn a sea serphant. I could have done this with my eyes closed if my lord had asked it of me, but if they wish to beleive such a fairy tale that is there problem. However, I will not be fooled by such an obvious ruse. They will all rue the day they put their faith in that child who blindly risked his life for no reason. When the day comes that they need a hero and ask for Beowulf's help who will surely fail that is when I will be there to save them. Then they will finally know who is the real hero, the one who has been protecting them for all these year and everyone will know of the mighty warrior Unferth who had triumphed where Beowulf failed.
